Dritsas Groom McCormick LLP DGM was first established in 1981 by brothers Russel and John Dritsas. Within the first year partner Kendall Groom joined the firm. The firm grew over the years through practice development and the acquisition of clients from other accountants. In 1994 the firm expanded again with the addition of partner Michael McCormick. Their growth continued in January 2001 when partners John A. Renna and R.M. Tripp Pound III joined the firm. They have six active partners in the firm.
Throughout their expansion they continue to emphasize an atmosphere of teamwork aimed at maximizing responsiveness to clients. These efforts are aided by the fact that many of their employees have been with the firm for a number of years. There is a degree of continuity that is beneficial to the firm and the firm’s clients. Currently they are one of the largest local accounting firms in the Central San Joaquin Valley with thirteen CPA’s and twenty two total employees. They provide a broad range of accounting and tax services with specialties in agribusiness, automotive dealerships, construction and real estate, manufacturing, employee benefit plan audits, closely held business services and nonprofit organizations.
Their firm also participates in the Peer Review Program, which is a practice monitoring program. As a participant they must have an independent review of their accounting and auditing practices every three years.
