American Funds


For over 65 years American Funds has managed assets for an international group of individual, corporate, and institutional investors. The Capital Group Companies is one of the world's leading and most successful investment management firms. The most well-known part of their organization is the American Funds Group, the third-largest family of mutual funds in the U.S. 
 
In the beginning, the organization consisted primarily of JBL, several former associates from his Detroit years, and a handful of consultants. Since those early years, many more individuals and events have played a major role in shaping Capital's history. And the small company founded in 1931 has grown into a thriving international financial complex.
 
The company provides many types of fund such as American Funds Amcap; the investment seeks long-term growth of capital. The fund invests primarily in common stocks of issuers located in the U.S., though it may also purchase convertible securities and high-quality fixed-income obligations. It does not maintain strict percentages of any particular type of investment. The fund seeks securities of issuers that display fundamental value characteristics.
 
American Funds American Balanced Fund seeks capital preservation, current income, and long-term growth of capital and income. The fund normally invests in a broad range of equities, debt, and cash instruments. It typically maintains at least 50 percent of assets in equities and at least 25 percent in bonds. Fixed-income securities must be rated investment-grade at the time of purchase.
 
American Funds American Mutual Fund seeks a balance of three objectives, current income, capital growth, and conservation of principal. The fund invests chiefly in equity securities, including common stocks and preferred stocks. It invests primarily in securities issued by companies domiciled in the United States and or listed on the S&P 500 index.
 
American Funds Bond Fund of Amer, the investment seeks current income consistent with preservation of capital. The fund normally invests at least 80 percent of assets in bonds.
 
American Funds Capital Inc Bldr, the investment seeks current income and growth of capital. The fund invests primarily in a broad range of income-producing securities, including stocks and bonds. It normally invests at least 90 percent of assets in income-producing securities with at least 50 percent of assets in common stocks.

The company’s aim is to provide the investor with leading investment firms who have been responsible for managing assets for large corporations and institutional investors.
