In 1965, Timothy E. Johnson, Ph.D. began managing investment portfolios for a small number of clients. Its primary goal is to improve the quality of people’s lives, based upon sound fundamental security analysis and portfolio management.
 
Johnson Investment Counsel has 70 employees, including 18 Portfolio Managers and 7 Research Analysts, 21 of their employees hold graduate degrees, 22 have earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, and 5 have earned the Certified Financial Planner designation. The Counsel is committed in meeting their clients changing needs. In 1992, they established Johnson Mutual Funds, a family of no-load funds. Today, these eight funds comprise $370 million in assets, and are managed with the same philosophy utilized in their individually managed portfolios. The Funds provide immediate diversification and professional management for accounts with a minimum investment of $2,000. Since these funds are 100 percent no-load, with no redemption, sales charge or exchange fees, one can easily invest or switch between the funds. 

The Company does have others Mutual Fund such as Equity Income Fund .The investment objective is to provide above average dividend income and long-term capital growth. It invests primarily in common stocks of larger-sized U.S. companies with a capitalization above $15 billion. It is believed to have above-average dividend income and capital growth. Dynamic Growth Fund invests in small to  large capitalization.  

Disciplined Small Company Fund invests primarily in equity securities of small-sized companies having a market capitalization of less than $3 billion; it is believed to offer opportunities for capital growth. Companies are selected for the Fund's portfolio using a disciplined, quantitative model. Disciplined Large Company Fund invests primarily in equity securities of large-sized U.S. companies having a market capitalization of above $15 billion.  

The objective of the Municipal Income Fund is a high level of federally tax-free income over the long-term, consistent with preservation of capital. The Fund invests primarily in investment-grade municipal fixed income securities. It is anticipated that the majority of these securities will be Ohio municipal bonds, notes and short-term obligations.
