Kobren Insight Funds

In 1987 Eric M. Kobren established a private money management service which manages money for wealthy individuals and institutions through mutual funds, variable annuities, and individual bonds. It also serves as the investment advisor to the Kobren Insight Mutual Funds that he launched in December of 1996. Kobren Insight Management, Inc.  provides investment advice and portfolio management services to the fund. KIM makes the fund’s day-to-day investment decisions, arranges for the execution of portfolio transactions and generally manages the fund’s investments.

Kobren Insight Funds was organized on September 13, 1996, as a Massachusetts business trust. The Fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing primarily in shares of other investment companies, but also may invest directly in securities. It is not listed on an exchange or national securities market, or securities in which there were no transactions, are valued at the average of the most recent bid and asked prices.

The Fund was created to take the hassle and leg work out of selecting and managing your mutual fund investments. The Fund is a diversified portfolio of mutual funds carefully chosen and managed by Kobren Insight Management with the objective of providing long-term growth of capital It is designed for investors with at least a 5 year time horizon and who are comfortable with a volatility level .The Fund is designed to simplify your investment life rather than owning 15 or 20 separate mutual funds.

Kobren Growth Fund involves additional and duplicative expenses and certain tax results that would not be present if an investor were to make a direct investment in the underlying funds. The Fund, together with any affiliated persons may purchase only up to 3 percent of the total outstanding securities of an underlying fund. Accordingly, when the Trust, KIM or their affiliates hold shares of any of the underlying funds, the Fund’s ability to invest fully is restricted and KIM must then, in some instances, select alternative investments for the Fund.
