Evergreen Adjustable Rate Fund seeks a high level of current income consistent with low volatility of principal. The fund invests at least 65 percent of its total assets in mortgage-backed securities or other securities collateralized by or representing an interest in a pool of mortgages. It seeks to provide a relatively stable net asset value per share by investing in adjustable rate securities, whose interest rates are periodically reset when market rates change. It may invest up to 35 percent of its assets in obligations of the U.S. Government, its agencies or instrumentalities.

Evergreen Aggressive Growth fund seeks long-term capital growth. The fund normally invests at least 65 percent of its assets in the common stock of U.S. companies across all market capitalizations ranging from emerging growth companies to larger, more well-established companies. The fund's portfolio managers employ a growth style of equity management.

Evergreen Alabama Municipal Bond Fund seeks current income exempt from federal regular income tax and state income tax. The fund normally invests at least 80 percent of assets in municipal securities exempt from federal income tax and income taxes in the state of Alabama. It invests at least 80 percent of assets in investment grade bonds. The fund may invest up to 20 percent in high-quality short term obligations. It maintains an effective duration of four to eight years. The fund is nondiversified.
