FFTW

Fischer Francis Trees & Watts (FFTW) first began in the final months of 1971 and early months of 1972. Over the next 17 years FFTW focused on the management of US fixed income securities, building a reputation for its customized approach to investor needs and attracting a wide variety of high profile institutional clients. Today, full-service offices in London, Singapore and Tokyo augment the firm’s capabilities to manage fixed income portfolios customized for investors around the globe.

FFTW offers a comprehensive selection of fixed income products with varying degrees of risk and liquidity which utilize a wide variety of fixed income instruments and investment techniques. FFTW Global-Inflation Indexed Hedged Adv Fund seeks investment preservation. The fund will invest in derivatives as a substitute for direct investment in inflation-indexed securities. 80 percent of the fund's net assets must be invested in inflation-indexed securities that are denominated in U.S. dollars and derivative instruments denominated in U.S. dollars whose returns are linked to the inflation rate. In addition, up to 20 percent of the fund's net assets (including borrowings for investment purposes) may be invested in foreign inflation-indexed securities. It is non-diversified.

FFTW International Adv Fund seeks total return with the preservation of capital. The fund invests at least 65 percent of assets in high-quality fixed-income securities from bond markets worldwide that are in foreign currencies. It may invest up to 35 percent of assets in U.S. dollar-denominated foreign debt securities. It maintains an average U.S. dollar-weighted duration of less than eight years. The fund may hedge all or part of its foreign currency-denominated assets against foreign currency risks. The fund is non-diversified.

FFTW Mortgage Backed Adv Fund seeks total return consistent with preservation of capital. The fund normally invests at least 65 percent of assets in mortgage-related debt obligations of U.S. and foreign issuers. It may invest the balance of assets in other fixed-income securities. The fund's average dollar-weighted duration typically ranges between two and six years. It is non-diversified.

The objective of each of the sub-funds is to seek a high or stable level of total returns as may be consistent with the preservation of capital. The strategy invests in a broad range of fixed income assets. These assets include government bonds, corporate credit, mortgages and asset-backed securities. Where possible, currencies are managed with a view to providing additional return to bond investments.

With over 39 billion dollars in assets under management as of December 31, 2005, FFTW is a leader in its field. In 1999, the company strengthened its position by forming a strategic alliance with BNP Paribas. FFTW is now the exclusive provider of global fixed income services for BNP Paribas worldwide.
