Touchstone Core Bond Fund seeks a high level of current income. Capital appreciation is secondary. The fund ordinarily invests at least 65 percent of total assets in investment grade debt securities. Its investments may include asset-backed securities, corporate debt securities, government securities and up to 60 percent of assets in mortgage-related securities. The fund's average maturity generally ranges between five and 15 years. The fund may invest up to 35 percent of assets in non-investment-grade debt; it may not purchase securities rated below B. It may invest up to 20 percent of assets in fixed-income securities denominated in foreign currencies.
Touchstone Growth Opportunities A investment seeks long term capital appreciation. The fund normally invests in equity securities of companies that management believes are undervalued relative to their earnings or cash flow growth prospects. It invests primarily in stocks of mid to large-cap domestic growth companies. The fund may invest up to 10 percent of assets in common stocks of small cap companies. Management expects to hold investments for an average of 18 to 36 months. The fund is non-diversified.
Touchstone High Yield Bond Fund seeks a high level of income. Capital appreciation is secondary. The fund invests at least 65 percent of its assets in non-investment grade debt securities of domestic corporations. It also invests in debt securities of emerging market countries; mortgage-related securities and other types of loans and loan participants; and government securities and foreign governments. The fund may invest up to 15% in securities of foreign companies, but only up to 5 percent of its assets in securities of foreign companies that are denominated in a currency other than the U.S. dollar.
