Sprint Corp is a publicly traded company having a good stock performance result. Sprint Corp is a fortune 500 stock listed company trading under FON. Additionally, in its ongoing effort to bring competition and customer choice to large and small communities across the U.S. through cable partnerships, Sprint has signed voice over Internet Protocol agreements with several new cable companies including WEHCO Video, NPG Cable, Inc. and Shrewsbury Electric and Cable Operations.

These new partnerships reinforce Sprint's leadership in enabling cable companies to enter the voice services business. The FON Group and PCS Group financial results are presented with the consolidated financial results. The FON Group and the PCS Group are integrated businesses of Sprint Corporation and do not constitute stand-alone entities. The Sprint Music Store allows customers to browse, preview and purchase songs while on the go anywhere on the nationwide Sprint Power Vision network.

A 2-for-1 stock split occurred on June 4, 1999. A 2-for-1 stock split occurred on February 4, 2000. Technically, there was not an Initial Public Offering, or IPO, for Sprint PCS stock. A re-capitalization of the FON stock was executed on November 23, 1998. In this transaction, FON shareholders received one share of PCS stock for every two shares of FON stock. On February 4, 1999, an additional 21,220,000 shares of PCS common stock were offered to the public.
