NASD is a self regulatory organization of the securities industry responsible for the operation and regulation of the NASDQ stock market and over the counter markets. It also administrates exams for the investments professionals, such as the series of 7 exams.
Symetra Securities serves as the broker dealer of record for certain Pioneer Mutual Fund accounts and as the underwriter for variable insurance products offered by Symetra Life Insurance Company.On December 10, 2004, the mutual funds formerly underwritten by Symetra Securities were merged into Pioneer Investment Management's family of mutual funds and are no longer offered for sale. All shareholders of record on December 10, 2004 are now Pioneer Investment's shareholders in Pioneer Mutual Funds.
Symetra Securities maintains records of historical shareholder activity occurring prior to the merger with Pioneer and provides ongoing service to former mutual fund shareholders with current Pioneer Mutual Fund accounts. Symetra Securities is the broker dealer of record for mutual fund account holders who were not invested through a financial intermediary when the mutual funds were merged with Pioneer Funds on December 10, 2004.
