Alfa Capital Markets (USA) is a US Broker Dealer located in New York City. The Company is an NASD and SIPC member and an affiliate, of Alfa-Bank’s International equities business. ACM was established in July 2001 to provide brokerage and investment services to US institutional clients investing in Russia and the CIS. Equity research is provided from their offices in Moscow, London and Kiev.
ACM is a division of Alfa Bank, Moscow. Alfa Bank is the largest privately owned bank in Russia. Alfa-Bank is the leading underwriter in ruble-denominated corporate bond market. It offers its clients full range of services including: debt-raising programme, origination and structuring, preparation of issuance documents and investment memoranda, syndicates arranging, put-option execution support, bridge financing, creation of liquid secondary market, etc. Alfa-Bank is also one of the largest Russian traders and market-makers in the inter-bank FX market. Alfa-Bank’s FX Department provides Russian banks and financial institutions with services in FX SPOT & forward in all major currencies and markets. The Department also conducts arbitrage operations and margin trading for both resident and non-resident clients apart from being an active trader and market-maker in Russian inter-bank deposits, both in RUB and hard currencies. It is one of the largest operators in MM taking about 10 percent of the turnover in Russia.
In Moscow, London and New York the bank’s traders and sales traders are active on all the exchanges that trade Russian securities principally the Russian Trading System (RTS), the Moscow Inter-bank Currency Exchange (MICEX), the ADR market and the trading floors of the U.S. exchanges. The Bank also operates Alfa Direct, an Internet brokerage service. Alfa-Bank’s Equities Division complements its expertise in trading and distribution with in-depth proprietary research by a Moscow-based team of internationally respected analysts. They produce regular industry, sector and company reports as well as macro and strategic analysis.
