Harmon & Co. is a member of the National Association of Securities Dealers. NASD is a self-regulatory organization of the securities industry responsible for the operation and regulation of the NASDQ stock market and over the counter markets. It also administrates exams for the investments professionals, such as the series of seven exams.
Harmon & Co. was founded in 2001 by James A. Harmon to provide strategic and financial advisory services, including capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, and restructuring to private and public institutions worldwide. Harmon & Co. also advises and assists foreign governments and businesses in emerging economies. Areas of consultation include such matters as privatization and attracting foreign direct investment.

This partnership enhances the ability of Harmon & Co. to provide clients with a full range of investment banking capabilities worldwide. Harmon Investments, an asset management firm, was formed in 2004 by James Harmon to make investments in developing markets.
