Johnston & Harrington, P.C.

Certified Public Accountants, are people who are dedicated financial professionals of the United States of America and who have spent a good deal of their academic career studying and passing the stringent Uniform Certified Public Accountant Examination. These professionals have, strived to meet and have met additional state education and experience requirements for their license to operate as a CPA. CPAs are the only professionally licensed people to provide the public, attestation which includes auditing and opinions on financial statements. While CPAs are known by the general public in part for their tax expertise and for maintaining the accounts books of small organizations, they are uniquely educated for the attestation function discussed above.

Johnston & Harrington, P.C. was formed in 2004 and traces its roots back to the firm of Robert L. Johnston, P.C., and an accounting firm serving the public since the early 1990.Their first priority is to serve the general public. They believe if they faithfully perform that role then the general public will allow us to earn a living while serving the needs of the general public. The first priority of most business organizations is to provide a return on the investment of its owners and it seeks a profit in the marketplace to accomplish that goal. On the surface it appears to be a minor distinction, however, they believe it is a critical one. Their services cover three broad categories accounting, consulting, and taxation.

They do not sell insurance, financial products, or anything else to their clients because they believe the strongest attribute they offer is impartiality that is free from any conflict of interest. Many claim to represent your interest but in reality represent themselves. They have no desire to be in that category. The general public is continuously bombarded with someone trying to sell them something. The only thing they sell is their time in an effort to meet their client’s needs. If they have an outside product that they believe may assist their client’s then they make it available at their cost. In short, they believe in serving their clients by helping them reach their objectives.
