Certified Public Accountants, are people who are dedicated financial professionals of the United States of America and who have spent a good deal of their academic career studying and passing the stringent Uniform Certified Public Accountant Examination. These professionals have, strived to meet and have met additional state education and experience requirements for their license to operate as a CPA. CPAs are the only professionally licensed people to provide the public, attestation which includes auditing and opinions on financial statements. Pilgrim Place thrives today as a multifaceted retirement community where 330 Christian leaders who have served a minimum of 20 years as missionaries, ministers, teachers of religion and denominational executives, and other religious professionals continue their pilgrimage of Christian faith and service to others.
It is one of the nation's only ecumenical retirement communities for church professionals with a no financial means test for entrance. They participate in community life to a remarkable degree teaching and writing, preaching and speaking, visiting hospitals, serving on community boards and church councils, giving leadership at retreats and conferences, providing counseling and encouragement as they seek new ways to volunteer helping hands and hearts.
The firm provides a full continuum of care. Within its 33-acre campus, 185 individual, one to three bedroom, lushly landscaped cottages and apartments are situated along winding roads bordered by shade trees and semi-tropical shrubs. A primary goal at Pilgrim Place is to keep residents as independent and healthy as long as possible. As residents need more assistance with housekeeping chores, medications and supervision in basic activities of daily living, an assisted living facility Pitzer Lodge is available.
