Allied Waste owns and operates 169 active landfills across the country, with an average remaining life of 30 years. Their professional landfill experts employ state of the art methods to maintain their landfills and protect their environment, while meeting or exceeding all federal, state and local regulations. They also provide customized consulting services for handling and disposing special non-hazardous wastes.
The company 58 recycling facilities offer waste handling and collection services and educational programs in certain markets. They recycle more than 1.7 million tons of recyclable commodities a year, including paper, glass and plastics and reusable construction debris.
