Fairstream is nonprofit Debt Management Company dedicated to helping people get out of debt. Fairstream is a nonprofit budget planning and credit counseling organization dedicated to help consumers learn better financial habits, gain more control over their financial futures, and establish fair relationships with their financial institutions.
Fairness is their core value. They believe that consumers must take personal responsibility for their financial situations and that financial institutions must deal with consumers fairly and respectably. In keeping with that belief, their mission is to educate consumers while also advocating financial institutions on their behalf.
Their debt management program is designed to help people achieve their goal, of becoming debt free. Fairsteam can offer benefits such as a reduced monthly payments, lower or no interest rates on most accounts, eliminate or reduce late charges or over the limit fees, re age past due accounts, consolidate multiple payments into one.
Credit when credit is due, is a common sense approach to personal finances, is now available through their organization. This educational program looks at a wide range of personal finance management topics. Credit when credit is due, a self study program, which includes a 300 page book consisting of 12 lessons. At the end of each chapter, you are given a test and those results are sent to your credit counselor for grading. Upon graduation, you are eligible for a host of credit improving incentives, including 3 cards addressed to 3 major credit bureaus allowing them to add a positive statement to your credit report.
