AIM Investments


AIM Investments is an investment company offering wide range of Mutual Funds. AIM Advantage Global Health Sciences Fund seeks long-term capital growth. The fund invests primarily in equities of firms chiefly engaged in health care and health-care related industries. It invests in stocks that management believes will appreciate faster than other equities, as well as in options, futures and other securities whose values are based upon the values of equities. The fund usually invests in issuers from at least three countries, including the United States. This fund is non-diversified.
 
The investment seeks long-term growth of capital. The fund normally invests 80 percent of assets in securities of companies in the Asia Pacific region, excluding Japan. It may invest up to 100 percent of assets in companies of developing countries and up to 20 percent of assets in securities exchangeable for or convertible into equity securities of Asia Pacific companies. The fund may also invest up to 20 percent of assets in securities of non-Asia Pacific companies and up to 20 percent of assets in high-grade short-term securities and debt securities. It may hold a portion of assets in cash or cash equivalents.
 
AIM Basic Balanced Fund seeks long-term growth of capital and current income. The fund invests in a broadly diversified portfolio of common stocks, preferred stocks, convertible securities and bonds. It invests without regard to market capitalization. The fund normally invests a minimum of 30 percent and a maximum of 70 percent of total assets in equity securities and a maximum of 70 percent of total assets in investment-grade non-convertible debt securities.
 
AIM Basic Value Fund seeks long-term growth of capital. The fund normally invests at least 65 percent of assets in equity securities of U.S. issuers that have market capitalizations of greater than 500 million dollars. It may invest up to 35 percent of assets in equity securities of U.S. issuers that have market capitalizations of less than 500 million dollars and in investment-grade non-convertible debt securities, U.S. government securities and high-quality money market instruments.
 
AIM Conservative Allocation Fund seeks to provide total return consistent with a lower level of risk relative to the broad stock market. The Fund seeks to meet its objective by building a portfolio of mutual fund investments consistent with a lower level of risk relative to the braod stocket market as represented by the S&P 500 index.
