Franklin Templeton Limited Duration Income Trust a closed-end investment company managed by Franklin Advisers, Inc. reported its portfolio composition, certain portfolio characteristics and AMEX closing price as of February 28, 2006. Franklin Advisers, Inc., is a wholly owned subsidiary of Franklin Resources, Inc., a global investment management organization operating as Franklin Templeton Investments. Franklin Templeton Investments provides global and domestic investment management solutions managed by its Franklin, Templeton, Mutual Series and Fiduciary Trust investment teams.
 
Franklin Templeton Founding Funds Strategy creates a collection combining three value-oriented funds Franklin Income Fund, Templeton Growth Fund and Mutual Shares Fund each with a 50-year track record, offering diversification across multiple asset classes and low relative volatility. Franklin Templeton Investments (India) launched a new open end diversified equity fund called Templeton India Equity Income Fund (TIEIF). The fund seeks to provide a combination of long-term capital appreciation and regular income investing primarily in stocks, domestic and overseas, that have current or potential attractive dividend yield. The New Fund Offer period at Rs10 per unit, plus applicable load, started from the 22nd of March, 2006 and will close on the 20th April, 2006 and will open for ongoing purchase and redemption from May 19, 2006. The fund is banchmarked against the BSE 200. The fund offers both growth and dividend options. The minimum investment is Rs 5000. The entry load is 2.25% for investment of less than Rs 5 crore and 0.5% for investment of Rs 5 crore and above. The fund has levied an exit load of 0.5% for investments below Rs 5 crore and 1 per cent for investments above Rs 5 crore for redemptions within 6 months.

The manager of the fund allocates each fund’s assets among the broad asset classes of equity, fixed-income and short-term investments by investing in a distinctly-weighted combination of Franklin Templeton mutual funds. The fund invests in equal allocations to three underlying funds-Franklin Income Fund, Mutual Shares Fund and Templeton Growth Fund-that invest in stocks and bonds in the U.S. and abroad and utilizes a diversified value-oriented approach specifically targeting stocks and bonds trading at a discount to their true worth.
