Mr. Gabelli founded the firm in 1977 and named it after the family, the firm started as a broker-dealer. It has grown over the years into the diversified financial services corporation it is today. The Gabelli Funds Family includes portfolios that have managed to achieve a variety of pre-planned investment objectives. The Gabelli Value Fund Inc. invests in a concentrated portfolio of securities of companies which are selling below their private market value. The Fund's primary objective is long-term capital appreciation. 250 dollars is the initial minimum for IRAs. The Gabelli Small Cap Growth Fund invests primarily in equity securities of smaller companies such as companies with a total market cap of less than 1 billion dollars, which they believe will likely experience rapid growth in revenues and earnings. The Fund's primary objective is capital appreciation.

The average annual returns and total returns shown above are historical and reflect changes in share price, reinvested dividends and capital gains are net of expenses of the company. The Fund is open to additional investments by existing shareholders and to new investors provided that new investors acquire shares of the Fund, with a minimum initial investment of 10,000 dollars directly through the distributor or through the Fund's Transfer Agent.
