The Gartmore Optimal Allocations Funds are designed to provide diversification and asset allocation across several types of investments and asset classes, primarily by investing in underlying Gartmore funds. There is absolutely no guarantee that a diversified portfolio will produce better results than a non-diversified portfolio. Gartmore Optimal Allocation Aggressive Fund seeks to maximize growth. The fund invests mostly in Gartmore U.S. and International Stock funds. Target allocation of the fund is 40% U.S. Stock fund, 10% international Stock fund, 70% Specialty Asset fund.
 
Gartmore China Opportunities Fund seeks long term capital appreciation. The fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in securities of companies located in China or Hong Kong. The Fund will invest primarily in common stocks, initial public offerings as available, and depositary receipts. The Fund may also invest in equity-link notes.
 
Gartmore Emerging Markets Fund seeks long term capital growth. The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in companies located in emerging markets or developing countries. The sub advisor looks for emerging markets that are believed to have the potential for strong economic growth, and tries to avoid emerging markets that it believes might be politically or economically unstable. It may also engage in securities lending in order to generate additional income for the fund.
 
Gartmore Growth Fund seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund primarily invests in common stocks of large capitalization companies. Under normal conditions, it mainly invests in common stocks and convertible securities, and generally intends to be fully invested in these securities.
