Credit Suisse Capital Apprec A fund is a long-term capital appreciation plan. The fund normally invests at least 80 percent of assets in common stocks, warrants, and convertible securities. The advisor focuses on securities of medium-sized, financially strong companies that demonstrate increased earnings power and improved utilization of assets. The fund may invest up to 20 percent of assets in foreign issues.
Credit Suisse Commodity Return Strat A fund seeks to replicate the performance of the Dow-Jones AIG Commodity index. The fund intends to invest at least 80 percent of net assets, plus any borrowings for investment purposes, in a combination of commodity-linked derivative instruments and fixed income securities backing those instruments. It gains exposure to commodities markets primarily through commodity swap agreements, primarily on the DJ-AIG index.
Credit Suisse Emerging Markets A seeks growth of capital. The fund normally invests at least 80 percent of assets in equity securities in foreign equity securities. It focuses on the world's less developed countries. The fund analyzes a company's growth potential, using a bottom-up investment approach.
Credit Suisse Fixed Income Comm fund investment seeks the maximum total return consistent with prudent investment management. The fund normally invests at least 80 percent of assets in fixed-income securities with issuers that are located in at least three countries, which may include the U.S. There is no limit in the fund's ability to invest in emerging markets. It may invest no more than 40 percent of assets in any one country and it may invest up to 35 percent of assets in debt rated below investment-grade. The fund is none diversified.
