Mosaic

Mosaic funds are actively managed by a group of highly dedicated and skilled professionals who do what they do with a passion. They have created a corporate environment that is built upon the principles of teamwork, mutual respect, and integrity of action. It funds consist of Investors Fund, Balanced Fund, Mid-Cap Fund and Foresight Fund.

Stocks have provided returns far greater than other types of investments, such as certificates of deposit or even bonds. Given a period of decades this advantage becomes quite dramatic. Over the same period cash equivalents of the sort found in a money market mutual fund just edged inflation, while long-term government bonds produced real, but modest returns over inflation. Only stocks showed the potential to produce real wealth. However, the rewards of long-term stock investing are accompanied with short-term volatility. The longer your time horizon, the less an effect these short-term moves have on your overall financial future. Up close, on a day-to-day, or even month-by-month basis, stock market movements are as inscrutable as a painting viewed with a magnifying glass. Stand back far enough, and it begins to make sense. Mosaic promotes this kind of long-term perspective in investing and recommend it for investors as well.

Mosaic bond funds concentrate on higher-rated, investment grade bonds. They do not stray from a fund's core investment objectives by adding risky or exotic securities in hope of achieving higher returns.  Intermediate Income Fund is the only Mosaic fund with exposure to lower grade bonds, and this exposure is limited to 35 percent of the fund's assets. Money markets are the most conservative of mutual funds, especially suited for short-term investment goals, or for investors seeking relative safety from the stock or bond markets. Money markets invest in short-term securities, and are managed to maintain a stable 1.00 dollar share price.

Mosaic Intermediate Income provides investors with regular, monthly income through investments in a potentially wide range of bonds. The fund will generally invest in government or corporate securities with and average maturity of 10 years or less.  At least 65 percent of it's assets must be held in investment grade bonds, while up to 35 percent of assets can be invested in bonds rated as low as "B".

With the type of returns the company has shown in the past through it may not be any guarantee for the future performance of the company, the odds are the company will manage similar results in the future too.
