Waddell & Reed Advisor Accumulative Fund seeks capital growth; current income is secondary. The fund invests primarily in common stocks of largely capitalized U.S. and foreign companies. It may invest in companies of any size and of any industry to achieve its primary goal of growth. The fund may also hold cash or invest in fixed-income securities and common stocks for relative stability rather than for growth potential. The fund may invest in debt securities of any credit quality. It does not intend, however, to invest more than 5 percent of assets in debt rated below investment-grade. It may also invest in foreign securities.
 
Waddell & Reed Advisor Asset Strategy Fund seeks total return while minimizing risk at the same time. The fund generally invests approximately 70 percent of assets in stocks, 25 percent in bonds, and 5percent in short-term instruments. The advisor reallocates assets to favor investments that it believes provide the best opportunity for total return; single reallocations usually do not involve more than 10 percent of assets. It may invest assets in foreign securities as well as opportunities present themselves.
