U.S. Global Investors was initially formed in 1968 to manage a growth fund that evolved into our Gold Shares Fund, the nation’s first no-load precious metals fund. Since then, the company has grown into a widely diversified range of investments. The company also has several subsidiaries including United Shareholder Services, Inc., the transfer agent for mutual fund shareholders; U.S. Global Brokerage, Inc., the funds' distributor; and A&B Mailers, which provides mailing services.

U.S. Global Investors offers variety of mutual funds such as All American Equity Fund, China Region Opportunity Fund, Global Resources Fund and many more. U.S. Global Investors All American Equity Fund seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund will invest substantially all of its assets in securities defined as "all American" which include companies offering stock registered on a United States stock exchange, companies offering stock traded on NASDAQ or over-the-counter markets, companies deriving more than 50 percent of their revenue from operations in the United States, companies incorporated in the United States, companies having their principal place of business or corporate headquarters located in the United States.
 
U.S. Global Investors China Region Opportunity Fund seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund normally invests at least 80 percent of its net assets (plus any borrowings for investment purposes) in equity securities issued by China region companies.
 
U. S. Global Investors Global Resources Fund seeks long-term growth of capital plus protection against inflation and monetary instability. The fund normally invests at least 80 percent of its sector assets in the equity securities of companies within the natural resource sector. It may invest without limitation in the various industries of the natural resource sector, such as oil, gas, and basic materials. This fund is non-diversified.
 
U.S. Global Investors Tax-Free Fund seeks current income exempt from federal income taxes with capital preservation. The fund normally invests at least 80 of assets in municipal securities. These securities are issued by or on behalf of states, territories, and possessions of the United States and their political subdivisions, agencies, and instrumentalities. The fund only invests in investment-grade debt securities, and it does not invest more than 10 percent of assets in securities rated BBB. The fund invests in securities with varying maturities.
