Badgley

Badgley was founded in 1966 by investment professionals who shared a commitment to counsel clients in a better way. Badgley, Phelps and Bell are one of the Northwest's oldest and most respected independent investment management firms. They have managed assets for high net worth individuals and institutions since 1966. They are completely employee-owned by a well-coordinated team of investment professionals who are committed to the independence and long-term success of our firm. Their investment management is built on the foundation of dedicated research and utilizes separate accounts tailored to meet individual needs. Their disciplined approach to security selection and asset allocation provides consistency and stability to investment process. Regular communication with clients keeps portfolios on course and promotes lasting relationships.

While Badgley, Phelps and Bell's minimum portfolio size is 2 million dollars, the minimum investment in the Badgley Funds is only 2,000 dollars (or 1,000 dollars if you choose the Automatic Investment Plan as explained in the Prospectus). The Badgley Funds are available for personal portfolios, IRAs, personal and charitable trusts, family accounts, and education savings accounts.

The Badgley Fund family includes two no-load mutual funds, the Badgley Growth Fund and the Badgley Balanced Fund.

The Badgley Growth Fund invests in medium to large capitalization U.S. growth stocks. They believe that, over time, the price of a common stock will parallel the trend of its revenues, earnings and dividends.

To gain assurance that the growth and profitability of our investments are sustainable, we look for factors such as leading or growing market shares, strong management teams and conservative fiscal administration. Companies possessing proprietary products and services in growing markets are especially attractive.

The Badgley Balanced Fund adds a fixed income component to large capitalization U.S. growth stock strategy. It emphasizes investment grade intermediate term bonds since capital market history has shown intermediate-term bonds generate overall returns similar to those of long-term bonds but with less volatility.

The Badgley Balanced Fund is allocated approximately 50 perecnt to stock and 50 percent to bonds. The company rebalances the Fund on a regular basis since they do not believe that investors can consistently predict market fluctuations.

The result of investing with Badgley can be satisfying and could lead into a long term investment.
