Merrill Lynch Latin America Fund is a non-diversified fund that seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund normally invests at least 65 percent of assets in Latin American equity and debt securities issued in Mexico, Central America, South America, or Spanish-speaking Caribbean islands. The fund does not necessarily diversify investments geographically. It may invest in debt of any credit quality.
 
The investment seeks capital appreciation and income. The fund primarily invests in high-quality large-cap companies, fixed-income securities and money-market instruments. It may invest at least 25 percent of assets in equity securities and at least 25 percent of assets in fixed income senior securities. 
  
The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund normally invests at least 80 percent of assets in equity securities of technology related securities. It typically invests in securities of issuers having market capitalizations of 5 billion dollars or more.
 
Merrill Lynch World Income Fund seeks current income. The fund normally invests into at least 90 percent of assets in debt obligations issued by U.S. and foreign governments and corporations. The fund allocates its assets among different types of fixed-income investments based upon analysis of yield, maturity, and currency considerations. This fund is non-diversified as well.
 
Merrill Lynch Global Utilities & Telecomm Fund seeks capital appreciation and current income. The fund normally invests at least 65 percent of assets in equity and debt securities issued in at least three countries. These securities are issued by companies involved in electricity, telecommunications, gas, or water. The fund may invest no more than 5 percent of assets in securities. The minimum initial investment is 1000 dollars. The minimum subsequent investment is 50 dollars.
 
Merrill Lynch Fundamental Growth Fund seeks long-term growth of capital. The fund normally invests at least 65 percent of assets in equities issued by medium and large capitalization companies. It may also invest in fixed income securities and foreign securities. The minimum initial investment is 1000 dollars. The minimum subsequent investment is 50 dollars.
