Sequoia Fund's investment objective is long-term growth of capital. In pursuing this objective, the fund focuses principally on common stocks that it believes are undervalued at the time of purchase and have potential for growth. A guiding principal is the consideration of common stocks as units of ownership of a business and the purchase of them when the price appears low in relation to the value of the total enterprise. The balance sheet and earnings history and prospects of each investment are extensively studied to appraise fundamental value.

The Fund has discontinued indefinitely the sales of its shares to new investors. The Fund will continue to accept additional investments from existing stockholders, and will continue to reinvest dividends and capital gains distributions for the accounts of existing stockholders who have elected those options. The decision to discontinue sales to new investors reflects management's belief that unrestrained growth in the Fund's net assets might impair investment flexibility and would not be in the best interests of existing stockholders.

An investor should consider the investment objectives, risks, charges and expenses of the Fund carefully before investing. The performance data shown represents past performance and assumes reinvestment of dividends. Their past performance does not guarantee future results. The investment return and principal value of an investment in the Fund will fluctuate so that an investor's shares, when redeemed, may be worth more or less than their original cost. Current performance may be lower or higher than the performance data quoted.
