Cnf Inc

Cnf Inc was founded in 1929 and changed its name to Cnf, Inc. in 2001. Cnf is based in San Mateo, California. It’s a publicly traded company having a good stock performance result. Cnf Inc is a fortune 500 stock listed company trading under Cnf. The company is formerly known as Cnf Transportation, Inc.

Cnf is a 3.7 billion dollars company that is a leading provider of global supply chain solutions for a wide range of industrial, retail, manufacturing and government customers primarily in North America. The company operates in three segments of Con-Way, Menlo Worldwide, and Cnf Other. The Con-Way segment provides regional next-day, second-day, and transcontinental freight trucking throughout the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and Mexico, freight forwarding, as well as expedited transportation, and truckload brokerage services.

The Menlo Worldwide segment develops integrated contract logistics solutions, including the management of distribution networks, and supply chain engineering and consulting. It also serves as the lead logistics manager for General Motors and provides logistics services to other customers to a lesser degree. The other segment of Cnf manufactures trailers. The company continues to invest heavily in technology focusing its efforts on conducting customer transactions through the Internet, developing and implementing state-of-the-art dispatch, warehouse management, order fulfillment and tracking systems and optimizing the routing of its delivery vehicles to increase competence and reduce travel times.

The value of the U.S. supply chain alone is estimated to be 936 billion dollars, or 8.5 percent of gross domestic product. Cnf’s roots are in heavy freight transportation and the nature of moving freight has changed and become so sophisticated that the movement of information is now as important as the movement of the products that Cnf delivers for its customers.

Their earnings growth in the past year has accelerated moderately compared to earnings growth in the past three years. Cnf, Inc., a mid-cap value company in the transportation sector, is predictable to match the market over the next six months with less than standard risk.
