For the year ended Dec. 31, 2005, sales totaled 5,579.4 million dollars, a 20.6 percent increase over sales in 2004, reflecting strong performance in the company's core scientific-research and healthcare markets as well as the contributions of Apogent. Excluding the translation effect of foreign exchange, sales totaled 5,570.5 million dollars in 2005, a 20.4 percent increase over the prior year, including 6.4 points of organic growth in the core scientific-research and healthcare markets. Including sales of safety-related products, organic growth was 4.7 percent.

Full year income from continuing operations more than doubled to 371.9 million dollars or 2.92 dollars per diluted share and includes 83.8 million dollars. Full year net income increased to 389.1 million dollars, or 3.05 dollars per diluted share compared with net income of 166.4 million dollars, or 1.80 dollars per diluted share, in 2004.

The company expects its 2006 earnings will be in the range of 4.05 dollars to 4.20 dollars per diluted share, with diluted EPS excluding intangible asset amortization expense, net of tax, of 4.35 dollars to 4.50 dollars.

Fisher projects 2006 cash from operations to be in the range of 675 million dollars to 700 million dollars. Free cash flow is projected to be in the range of 525 million dollars to 550 million dollars.
