Seligman Capital Fund seeks capital appreciation. The fund primarily invests in common stocks but may also invest in preferreds, convertibles, common stock rights or warrants, and debt securities. It may hold cash, U.S. Government securities, commercial paper, or other investment grade debt securities. The fund may invest up to 15 percent of assets in illiquid securities and up to 10 percent directly in foreign securities. It may also invest up to 10 percent of assets in exchange-traded funds.
 
Seligman Common Stock Fund seeks current income and growth of capital and income without undue risk. The fund allocates assets among the major asset classes, common stocks, fixed-income securities, and cash equivalents. Investment allocations vary according to market conditions. The fund may invest up to 10 percent of assets in foreign securities; this limitation does not include depositary receipts.
 
Seligman Communications and Information Fund seek capital appreciation. The fund normally invests at least 80 percent of assets in common stocks issued by companies that operate in the communications, information, and related industries. It invests in large, established media corporations, as well as in small companies with rapidly changing technologies and development characteristics. The fund may invest up to 10 percent of assets in foreign securities; this restriction does not apply to depositary receipts.
