Mutual Funds

Mutual funds are open-end funds, pools of money, managed by an investment company or advisor from more than one source that are not listed for trading on a stock exchange. They were created in the 1920's and different mutual funds have different goals. For example, a "Global" fund would invest in companies around the world and a "Property" fund would invest primarily in real estate.
