Conservative Financial Services is a member of NASD, the National Association of Security Dealer. NASD is a self regulatory organization of the securities industry responsible for the operation and regulation of the NASDQ stock market and over the counter markets. It also administrates exams for the investments professionals, such as the series of 7 exams.
Conservative Financial Services was founded in 1985 by Bill Sharp, a former partner in Edward Jones & Company. Shortly thereafter, Larry Pipkin and Sue Evans joined the firm and they began to grow. In 2001, Conservative Financial Services was acquired by First State Bancshares, a financial services holding company that owns various banks and insurance agencies in addition to Conservative Financial Services.
