Hunter Associates, Inc.

Hunter Associates, Inc. is a member of NASD, the National Association of Securities Dealers. NASD is a self-regulatory organization of the securities industry responsible for the operation and regulation of the NASDQ stock market and over the counter markets. It also administrates exams for the investments professionals, such as the series of 7 exams.

David W. Hunter established Hunter Associates, inc. on July 1, 1992, after 37 years in the securities industry. Mr. Hunter started his career in 1954 as a stock broker with McKelvy & Company. At Hunter Associates, inc., she works primarily with individuals, families, trusts and charitable foundations. She advises clients on their investment policies and provides financial planning assistance in the areas of retirement, education, tax and estate planning.

Their philosophy demands that they know their clients well in order to contribute to their financial welfare. Their clients must work with them in devising their investment policies. They regard their clients as partners in their efforts to build their financial security. The Company believes this unique approach combines the best elements of brokerage and advisory firms, allowing them to identify and to meet, the specific needs of each client. It is an approach that utilizes a basic two step process to tailor a specific custom investment strategy for each client.

Hunter Associates works extensively with highly specialized external consultants and advisors. They are particularly proud of their association with Pershing, LLC, as a fully disclosed correspondent. Pershing performs most of their execution, clearing and information management tasks and, in addition, makes available to Hunter Associates it’s first class trading and operational support services. In designing Hunter Associates, they felt that some of their clients and prospective clients would prefer an investment advisory relationship with their firm, rather than the historic brokerage relationship.

The Company goal is to offer their clients the best of both the brokerage and investment advisory worlds, with a very affordable and competitive investment advisory fee. At the same time, their size allows them to individualize and optimize the effectiveness of their client service. The Company’s primary goal is to help clients define their specific objectives and investment policies, and to select appropriate securities and strategies to meet these needs.
