JNK Securities Corp.
JNK Securities Corp. is a member of NASD, the National Association of Securities Dealers. NASD is a self regulatory organization of the securities industry responsible for the operation and regulation of the NASDQ stock market and over the counter markets. It also administrates exams for the investments professionals, such as the series of 7 exams.
JNK was established in 1993 with the merger of Scarsdale Securities and Weiselberg & Co. Prior to joining the NYSE, Kevin Kuntz, the founder of Scarsdale, was a position trader at Smith Barney and Dillon Read over a period of 15 years. Kevin learned what it takes to service the buy side community and extended these skills as a floor broker on the NYSE.
Jack Weiselberg, after a 2 year start in the government bond department of Salomon Brothers, moved on to a small convertible and arbitrage trading firm, Muller & Co. Jack eventually became Muller’s floor partner on the ASE, where he became an active option trader when that market opened. After running his own firm on the ASE for 10 years, Jack moved to the NYSE in 1988 to start an institutional floor brokerage unit.
The synergies and vision of the future shared by Kevin and Jack led to the formation of JNK. The Company is an institutional direct access floor broker of the New York Stock Exchange. JNK’s core competency is to provide trade execution services for block sized orders that can scale down to smaller lot sizes. The Company is strictly focused in the direct access business; they offer their clients a sophisticated order origination and execution platform designed to improve the life cycle of a buy side Listed and OTC trade.
JNK Securities maintains a strategically located Super Booth on the NYSE with 13 sales trading positions and seven floor brokers that easily cover all rooms of the Exchange. Each broker has quick access to the trading posts in his/her area to give their customers the immediate access they need to either execute orders or gather market intelligence. JNK brokers have the experience to handle a wide range of trading situations and strategies. Altogether, their floor brokers have more than 150 years of floor experience.
