O'keefe Shaw & Co., Inc is a member of NASD, the National Association of Securities Dealers. NASD is a self-regulatory organization of the securities industry responsible for the operation and regulation of the NASDQ stock market and over the counter markets. O’Keefe Shaw & Co., Inc. began operations June 24, 1996, in Amherst, New York. The firm's president, Peter S. O’Keefe founded the firm after spending 16 years as a Financial Consultant with a Buffalo-based brokerage firm. At age 29, he became a partner of that firm. He continued as a Financial Consultant, and on June 1, 1993 became a director and the Secretary & Treasurer. Peter's desire to build his own organization was the primary motivation for establishing O'Keefe Shaw & Co., Inc. The company currently employs seven people, two of whom are financial consultants.
