The Real Estate Services segment involves in franchising the real estate brokerage businesses, providing residential real estate brokerage services, as well as title and settlement services, including closing and escrow services in connection with residential and commercial real estate transactions, assisting companies and government agencies in relocating employees.
The Company also included the Mortgage Services segment, which included its former mortgage business conducted through Cendant Mortgage; PHH Mortgage. In addition, during 2005, it classified as discontinued operations the businesses that made up Cendant's Marketing Services segment, and the Company's PHH Arval fleet management business and Wright Express fuel card services business.
The Hospitality Services segment franchises hotels under various brands, as well as facilitates the exchange of vacation ownership intervals. It markets and manages vacation rental properties primarily in Europe. The Timeshare Resorts segment sells and markets vacation ownership interests, as well as provides property management services to property owners’ associations.
It offers consumer finance in connection with the purchase by individuals of vacation ownership interests, and builds timeshare resorts. The Travel Distribution Services segment markets, sells, and distributes travel and travel-related products and services to traditional and online travel agents on behalf of travel suppliers, such as airlines, hotels, and car rental companies. It also operates online travel websites, including Orbitz.com and CheapTickets.com in the United States and ebookers.com in Europe that market and sell travel products and services directly to consumers.
The Vehicle Rental segment operates and franchises its Avis and Budget vehicle rental businesses. This segment also operates a wholesale distribution business for travel agents and other distributors of travel content.
The company focuses across all of their business segments. The objective is to maintain level of revenue growth, improve their operating margins, and continue to enhance asset management and working capital efficiencies.
