Barrett Associates is a mutual fund company founded in 1937 by C. Redington Barrett, former Director of Research at Charles D. Barney, a predecessor firm to Smith Barney & Co. Mr. Barrett established the firm as an independent investment advisor .He sold majority ownership to his son John D. Barrett II who is the current chairman in 1970. Barrett has one mutual fund called   Barrett Growth Fund.

The Minimum Investment should be 2,500 dollars; Qualified Retirement Account 1,000 dollars; 500 dollars for Coverdell Education Savings Accounts. They will not charge any transaction fees or redemption fees.

The Barrett Growth Fund was organized to provide investors with a cost-effective opportunity to benefit from Barrett Associates' investment philosophy of Growth at a Reasonable Price, without being required to maintain a large account balance.
