Dreyfus offers a complete lineup of mutual funds equity, bond, and money market funds to round out almost any asset allocation plan and help diversify almost any portfolio.
 
There are a variety of taxable and tax-exempt Dreyfus Money Market Funds including general, retail funds and institutional funds. All of them invest in short-term securities and seek high current income, the preservation of capital and the maintenance of liquidity and each fund favors stability over growth.
 
Dreyfus seeks long-term capital growth consistent with preservation of capital. The fund normally attempts to remain fully invested in common stocks. They may at times invest in fixed-income securities. The fund may also invest up to 20 percent of assets in foreign securities not publicly traded in the United States.
 
Dreyfus Bonds Plus seeks current income consistent with preservation of capital and maintenance of liquidity. The fund normally invests at least 80 percent of assets in bonds, including debentures, notes, corporate bonds, mortgage-related securities, collateralized mortgage obligations, asset-backed securities, convertible debt obligations, preferred stock, convertible preferred stock, municipal obligations and zero coupon bonds.
 
Dreyfus Appreciation seeks long-term growth consistent with the preservation of capital. The fund normally invests at least 80 percent of its assets in common stock.  They focus on blue chip companies with total market capitalizations of more than 5 billion dollars at the time of purchase, including multi-national companies. Management employs a buy-and-hold investment strategy, and seeks to keep annual portfolio turnover below 15 percent. The fund may also invest in money market securities.
 
Dreyfus seeks current income consistent with preservation of capital. The fund normally invests at least 80 percent of assets in Government National Mortgage Association certificates. They may also invest in other securities issued or guaranteed by the U.S. government or issued by its agencies or instrumentalities that are backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. government. The fund may invest in repurchase agreements on these securities. They may also write and sell covered call option contracts on up to 20 percent of assets.
 
The Dreyfus Funds include a diversity of equity and bond investment styles and disciplines, including index funds, treasury funds and tax-exempt bond funds for a variety of states. The Dreyfus Funds are generally not sold through investment professionals. Dreyfus offers a full lineup of money market funds, both taxable and tax-exempt, to meet a variety of needs.
