The Office Products segment offers permanent/waterbase markers, overhead projector pens, dry erase markers, highlighters, ballpoint pens and inks, wood-cased pencils, and other art supplies. The Home Fashions segment designs and distributes drapery hardware, and custom and stock horizontal and vertical blinds, as well as pleated, cellular, and roller shades for the retail marketplace.
 
The Other segment designs, manufactures, packages, and distributes aluminum and steel bake ware, cookware, and cutlery. It also manufactures and distributes infant and juvenile products, such as high chairs, toys, strollers, car seats, play yards, and hair care accessories. The company serves various retail channels, including department stores, discount stores, home centers, warehouse clubs, hardware stores, office superstores, commercial distributors, contract stationers, automotive stores, and baby superstore.
 
Newell Rubbermaid Inc. is a global marketer of consumer and commercial products with 2005 sales of 6.3 billion dollars and a strong portfolio of brands, including: Sharpie, Paper Mate, Waterman, BernzOmatic, Rubbermaid, Reynolds, Rolodex, Graco, Calphalon and Goody etc. The company is headquartered in Atlanta, Ga., and has around 28,000 employees worldwide.

Excluding charges primarily related to the company's previously announced restructuring program, net income from continuing operations for the first quarter of 2004 was 50.7 million dollars, or 0.18 dollars per share.
