Before Ridgewood Associates was founded in 1985, it was the Ridgewood branch of Tucker Anthony & Co., a New York Stock Exchange member firm. Tucker Anthony began consolidating its offices and wanted to close the Ridgewood branch. Ridgewood Associates’ mission is to help clients achieve financial peace of mind by working with them to understand and develop a plan to meet their financial goals. In 1996 Ridgewood Associates entered a strategic alliance with First Clearing Corporation, a registered broker-dealer and a non-bank affiliate of Wachovia Corporation. This alliance has allowed Ridgewood Associates to have the resources and competitive advantages of large brokerage houses while maintaining its independence, flexibility, and truly client-oriented focus. The principles on which Ridgewood Associates was founded have become a tradition. Their size allows them to provide their clients the kind of personalized service normally found in small companies. Through their association with First Clearing Corp, a registered broker dealer and a non-bank affiliate of Wachovia Corporation, their investment executives have all the tools and advantages normally only found in large firms.

The Company provides two types of services like retirement plans & money management. The sub types of retirement plans are Roth IRA, Roth IRA conversion, self-directed traditional IRA, financial horizons program, simple IRA. & sub types of money management traditional transaction, discretionary money management. Their planning services are financial planning, financial horizons, estate planning, strategy plus, college planning; retirement planning is the planning services.
