Profutures Financial Group
Profutures Financial Group is a member of NASD, the National Association of Securities Dealers. NASD is a self regulatory organization of the securities industry responsible for the operation and regulation of the NASDQ stock market and over the counter markets. It also administrates exams for the investments professionals, such as the series of 7 exams.
ProFutures, based in Austin, Texas, was founded in 1984 by Gary and Debi Halbert. From the beginning, their mission was to find professional money managers and Advisors to invest the assets of the firm's growing number of clients.
The Company is not a big, impersonal company where you are just another account number. They are small enough for you to get to know us personally, and they encourage you to do so. They would like to give you the opportunity to get to know the people you will talk to when you call ProFutures.
In April 2004, the National Association of Securities Dealers adopted rule 3510 requiring each member firm to maintain a business continuity plan that addresses the continuation of key business functions in the event of a major business disruption. Firms must also have available an outline of the business continuity plan for its clients.
ProFutures’ Business Continuity Plan identifies the core processes of their business and what actions would need to be taken if an emergency affected one of those core processes. In the event of a major business disruption, the Plan is designed to help them protect their employees’ lives and office property, evaluate the disruption and determine the appropriate response, maintain communications between ProFutures and their employees, and regulators and you, quickly recover from the disruption and resume operations, protect their business and account records.
Initially, the Forecasts & Trends E-Letterfocused on the terrorist attacks, national security, the War on Terror and related topics. Due to his many contacts and subscriptions to expensive news and research publications, Gary was able to bring his clients information that was not widely available.
In such cases, ProFutures produces a Special Report discussing the issue and its effects on our clients and their investments. Occasionally, there are topics that present themselves that are too complex or lengthy to discuss in their monthly newsletters or periodic online E-letter.
